Don't let anxiety rule your life

By Kathy Nelson

Anxiety can show up when you least expect it. It can be a hard thing to have to deal with for you and your loved ones. Anxiety can interfere with your daily life situations. These are a few ways that can help you beat anxiety.

Instead of letting anxiety and panic make you run from situations that are uncomfortable for you, try and face them down. Your mind is more powerful than any supercomputer, make it work for you instead of against you.

You are not helping yourself by doing this and the problem can get worse in time. You can better help yourself by taking on the situation the best way that you can.

I know it is easier to say than to believe but your fears can't hurt you. You are in charge of your thoughts and feelings, facing the cause of your anxiety is not easy and can be scary but it will be worth it.

Anxiety doesn't have to rule your life, no matter how long you have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks it doesn't have to carry on any longer. You don't have to let anxiety make you to scared to do anything, life is to be enjoyed and you don't have to let anxiety ruin yours.

If you go to a restaurant and are feeling anxious, you may think you are going to have a panic attack. If you do have a panic attack you need to understand that no one else can see it, and only you can feel it. This is a way to realize that it will not hurt you, feeling panic can be a overwhelming and a frightening experience.

If you can stay positive, it can help to defeat the feelings of anxiety. Just keep telling yourself that anxiety and panic will leave soon and that it can not hurt you.

The first step to beating anxiety is to accept that you have it and then move onto dealing with it one day at a time. Don't try and deal with it all at once, deal with one situation that would normally cause you to suffer from an anxiety attack at a time. - 30309
